Monthly Parking Opportunities for Neighbors
We are currently able to offer neighborhood residents reverse commute parking for $90.00 per month. This means your car would need to be out of the garage weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. If it isn’t removed on any given (non-holiday) weekday, your card will be deactivated and you will need to pay for the extra time in the office to get your card reinstated. Monthly fees are due in advance. All reverse commute parkers must stop into the garage office prior to the first of each month to pay for the following month. If you drive to work 4-5 days per week, this may be a great option for you.
The 14 ChargePoint™ EV Charging Stations in the garage charge vehicle owners for both electricity consumed when charging vehicles, as well as for “down time” if you leave your car in the spot for longer than 90 minutes after your charge is complete.
When you’re charging your vehicle, you get a notification on the ChargePoint™ App when your charge is complete. You will have to relocate your vehicle to another space in the garage within 90 minutes from the time the charging stops, in order to avoid paying the addition “overstay” charges.
This prevents folks from using the spots for the day even though they may only need a few hours of charging, while also allowing other EV owners to charge their vehicles.
The charges are approximately $0.25 per kWh and $1.00 per hour “overstay” parking after 90 minutes past the time your charge ends. ($0.25 per kWh is roughly equivalent to $1.95 per gallon, so EV’s are still a great deal!)
There are presently 3 ZipCar vehicles available on the ground floor of the garage across from the garage office.
